Euler De Souza

Biography

Euler De Souza, a registered professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, is a mining engineer and technical advisor in mine ventilation and mine environment. Some of his recent consulting work to mining companies includes: ventilation audits; air quality control; solving critical ventilation problems; ventilation de-bottle necking; ventilation designs for new mines; ventilation upgrade for existing mines; the design of ventilation raises; the design of surface intake and exhaust fan installations; analysis of the performance of main fan installations; booster fan selection and design; ventilation design for new orebodies; auxiliary ventilation design for long headings; the design of ore pass dust control systems; ventilation surveys; and network modeling. He is President and CEO of AirFinders Inc., a registered company providing ventilation services to the mining industry. He regularly performs ventilation audits for a number of mines and has been active in providing industrial training at mine sites in mine ventilation.

Dr. De Souza is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, the American Institute of Mining Engineers, Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa, the Canadian Geotechnical Society, the International Society for Rock Mechanics, the Canadian Rock Mechanics Association and Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
