Biography

Mario Morin is an Associate Professor in Mining Engineering at Queen's University at Kingston, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from McMaster University and Master of Applied Sciences and Doctorate in Mining Engineering from Queen's University. Prior to joining Queen's in 2013, he worked as a mining and consulting engineer.

He is the Kinross Professor in Mining Health and Safety.

His professional interests include geostatistics, mine feasibility, mine planning, soil and rock mechanics, mine closure and rehabilitation, mine waste management and environmental permitting, mine construction, and project management.

He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
